Saturday’s killings: Funeral prayers in-absentia held for slain

Srinagar, Sep 16: Following the call from Joint Hurriyat leadership, many separatist leaders Sunday offered funeral prayers in absentia for those killed in Saturday’s encounter in Kulgam.

JKLF chairman, Yasin Malik along with leaders Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri and others participated in the funeral prayers.

The call for Sunday’s program was given by Joint Hurriyat leadership people in large numbers participated in Sunday’s program.

JKLF chairman on the occasion prayed for the heavenly abode for the slain and expressed solidarity with their bereaved families’.

He also condemned the ongoing military, SOG and Army oppression throughout the valley.
