Pak trained local militant, associate killed in Shopian
Shopian, Mar 9:
Two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants were killed in an encounter with security
forces in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday, police said.

information about the presence of LeT militants there, a police official said.
He said the
operation turned into an encounter after the militants fired upon a search
party which retaliated.
The official said
two militants were killed in the gunfight.

identified as Shabir Ahmad Malik @Abu Maviya resident of Tungduno Yaripora
Kulgam who was active since December 2017 and Amir Ahmad Dar resident of Wadina
