Missing MBBS student’s family suffers another tragedy

Srinagar, Mar 18: A family member of MBBS student missing in Odisha was killed while two others, including his father, were injured in a car accident while they were returning home in north Kashmir from the eastern Indian state.

An eye witness said that the accident took place at Unisoo in Handwara after their car (bearing registration number JK09A-5547) veered off the road and hit a tree today morning.

Three persons travelling in the car were injured, he said.

The injured were shifted to a hospital where one of them, identified as Liyakat Ali Khan son of Alif din Khan, a resident of Chowkibal, Kupwara, succumbed.

Reports said that the deceased was an uncle of missing MBBS student Suhail Aijaz’s father.

The injured were identified as Aijaz Ahmed Kataria son of Ghulam Nabi Kataria (father of missing MBBS student Suhail Aijaz) and Mushtaq Ahmed Kataria both residents of Marsari, Chokibal Kupwara.

Shoaib Aijaz, younger brother of missing MBBS student Suhail Aijaz told GNS news agency that they were returning home from Odhisa where “my brother is missing from February 9”.

“They had left Odisha nearly a fortnight back and were returning home after failed bid to trace Suhail.”
