Militants’ houses ransacked in Kulgam

Srinagar, Aug 28: Locals from a Kulgam village Tuesday alleged government forces ransacking and thrashing of inmates during a nocturnal raid.

The family alleged that the forces raided the house of militant Parvaiz Ahmad Bhat son of Bashir Ahmad Bhat of Qaimoh, Mukdampora and ransacked household goods.

“Besides it, the army personnel without any provocation thrashed the family members after they questioned the ransacking.

Pertinently, Parvaiz Ahmad is an active militant and is affiliated with ISJK. He according to reports joined the outfit in the first week of July this year.

An army officer while terming the allegations baseless said that Army men neither manhandled anyone nor caused damage to the property.
