Srinagar, Mar 03:  A paramilitary trooper was injured while three structures and two vehicles were gutted in a fire mishap inside an army camp of 41 RR at Izgund, Khumriyal in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday evening.

Reports said that the fire started at around 06:00 pm and engulfed the camp having in-store oil barrels.

Soon after the incident, the fire tenders reached the spot and doused off the flames at around 6:35 pm, they said.

In the incident, three structures, two vehicles and several oil-barrel stores were gutted. “A trooper of paramilitary CRPF also sustained burn injuries in his hand”.

Confirming it, a police officer said that investigations into the incident have been initiated.

Meanwhile, an army officer said that a kerosene cane slipped out of hand of a CRPF personnel and it caught fire as a stove was burning nearby. “There is actually CRPF stationed inside the camp,” he said. (GNS)
