JK police doesn’t believe in revenge: ADGP (L&O)

Srinagar, Sep 23: Ruling out any intent to make the fight with militants an ‘individual and tit for tat’ affair, Jammu and Kashmir Police Sunday said that they don’t believe in ‘vengeance’ and will never resort to such tactics.

Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Muneer Ahamad Khan told Kashmir News Service that J&K Police is a “well-disciplined professional force” which doesn’t believe in ‘revenge”.

Regarding Tral encounter, ADGP said that a Pakistani origin Jaish militant was killed but added that they had a tip off of some more militants hiding in the area, therefore they have expanded the search operations in nearby villages also. He said that the dead body of the slain militant and his weapon was recovered from the encounter site.
