Income support for vulnerable segments in wake of COVID-19 pandemic

All registered houseboat owners, shikarawalas, tourist Guides, pony, pithu walas asked to share bank account numbers with Tourism Dept

Srinagar: The government has decided to provide income support to the vulnerable segments of the society, including Houseboat owners, Shikarawalas, Tourist Guides, Ponywalas, Pithuwalas and Palkiwalas, registered with the Directorate of Tourism Kashmir.

In this connection, all the Houseboat owners, Shikarawalas, Tourist Guides, Ponywalas, Pithuwalas and Palkiwalas registered with the Directorate of Tourism, Kashmir have been asked to share their Bank Account numbers through their respective Associations by or before May 6, 2020 positively for immediate disbursal of the financial assistance to them.

The Stakeholders have been asked to avoid congestion, wear masks and maintain the mandatory social distancing norms while sharing their Bank Account Numbers in person or otherwise with their respective Associations / concerned registering offices of the Tourism Department.
