His journey in the Bigg Boss 15 has been nothing short of a roller coaster but Umar Riaz, the doctor-turned-model and brother of former Bigg Boss contestant Asim has for sure gained some popularity and praises as he braves high tides in the show.
The latest among those to acknowledge his “potential” is actress-politician Kamya Punjabi.
Kamya, who herself was a Bigg Boss contestant in 2013, entered the controversial reality show and showered praises on Umar.
“Umar, I see a lot of potential in you. I don’t see Asim in you. Asim is different and you are different. Just be more confident. You can do it,” Kamya told Umar as others cheered for him.
The words must have meant a lot for Umar who until recently has not had a great time on the show.
Recently, Simba Nagpal pushed Umar into the swimming pool and called him ‘aatankwadi’ (terrorist).
The incident did not go down well with Umar’s fans who took to Twitter to voice their concern. ‘Justice for Umar Riaz’ was trending on social media after the incident.
“This is not only stooping down to another level but also passing a heinous comment on somebody who is just performing a task and giving his 100% using his mind and soul to win. It’s a shame to witness this, especially on national television. It’s a shame to witness a man in this state having no security or safety. His family, friends, fans witnessed this on a national platform. Stay strong Umar Riaz,” Umar Raiz’s team wrote on Instagram.
