Srinagar: After Emraan Hashmi, another Bollywood star Vicky Kaushal is in the Kashmir valley these days to shoot for his next Hindi flick.
While Emraan is shooting for ‘Ground Zero’, Vicky is currently in South Kashmir resort Pahalgam shooting for producer director Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Sam Bahadur’.
“Vicky Kaushal reached here a day before and is shooting in Pahalgam for Sam Bahadur. The shooting will take place in Pahalgam only. Vicky Kaushal loves to come to Kashmir and has been here before. The crew will shoot in Pahalgam for the next couple of weeks,” said a member of the team organising the film’s shooting in Kashmir.
Vicky Kaushal too has shared a photograph of the film shoot on his Instagram account. He can be seen wearing a green coloured hoodie which had Sam Bahadur written on it.
The film also stars Fatima Sana Sheikh as former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi. However, she is not accompanying the shooting crew in Kashmir.
The film is based on the life of Sam Manekshaw, who was the Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, and the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the rank of field marshal.
Emraan Hashmi is presently shooting in the interiors of the Dal Lake and is said to be ‘in love’ with Kashmir.
“Emraan came here on August 24 and so far has completed shooting at the BSF camps in Srinagar outskirts. This is for the first time that Emraan has come to shoot in Kashmir. He is in love with the place and has been impressed by the hospitality of the people. Right now, he is shooting in Dal Lake interiors,” said a member of the team that is organising the film’s shooting in Kashmir.
The film is directed by Marathi filmmaker Tejas Vijay Deoskar.
Earlier, Emraan had shared his photograph while landing in Kashmir on his social media handles.
“First time in the paradise city of Srinagar !! Countdown to Zero … Lights camera ACTION (sic),” he had written on his Facebook page.
