Govt constitutes Economic Offences Wing in ACB

Jammu, Mar 10: A day after the Anti-Corruption Bureau in Kashmir unearthed a huge scam of Rs 223 crore, the Government Tuesday accorded sanction to the establishment of an independent Economic Offences Wing in the Anti-Corruption Bureau.

According to the order issued by GAD, the Government sanctioned Economic Offences Wing with headquarters at Jammu and creation of 56 posts which shall form part of the Wing.

The Economic Offences Wing shall have one post of Superintendent of Police with pay matrix of level-11 (67700-208700) and Senior Prosecuting Officer with pay matrix of level-8 (47600-151100) each.

It shall have three posts of Deputy Superintendent of Police with pay matrix of level-8 (47600-151100), three posts of Prosecuting Officer with pay matrix of level-6-E (35900-113500).

Besides there shall be 10 posts of Inspector (Executive) and Sub-Inspector each with pay matrix of level-6-E (35900-113500) and level-6-C (35700-113100) respectively.

The Wing also shall have five posts of Junior Scale Stenographer, 20 posts of Constable and three posts of Orderly with pay matrix of level-6-B (35600-112800), level-2 (19900-63200) and SL1 (14800-47100) respectively.

The method of recruitment for filling up of these posts shall be notified separately, the order said.
