Governor meets Basharat, Gupta, Khan, Dhar

SRINAGAR, SEP 25:. Basharat Ahmed Bukhari, MLA Sangrama, met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Bukhari apprised Governor about the issues of the agitating SSA teachers and about the overall political scenario in the State.
Governor urged Bukhari to continue sustained efforts for promoting growth and the welfare of the people of the State.
Jeet Lal Gupta, Chairman, State Commission for Backward Classes, met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan today and extended warm greetings to Sh. Malik on his appointment as Governor of J&K.
Gupta briefed Governor about the functioning of the Commission and the various steps being taken to promote and protect the social, educational, economic and cultural interests of the Backward Classes in the State. He also apprised Governor about the various important matters concerning the Backward Classes which are still pending decision at various levels.
Governor stressed the high importance of all required measures being taken for protecting and advancing the interest of the Backward Classes.
Justice (Retd.) B.A. Khan, Chairperson, State Accountability Commission, met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan today and extended warm greetings to Sh. Malik on his appointment as Governor of J&K.
Khan briefed Governor about the functioning of the Commission and the various steps being taken to  inquire into the grievances and allegations against public functionaries and for matters connected there with.
Governor attached high importance to maintaining accountability,  transparency and efficiency during disposal of official tasks in order to serve the people in a better way.
Vijay Dhar, Member Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, met Governor Satya Pal Malik, Chairman of the Board, at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Dhar and Governor discussed about the initiatives required by the Shrine Board in making annual pilgrimage to the Holy Cave of Shri Amarnathji more comfortable and safe. Sh. Dhar offered various suggestions to further improve facilities for yatris.
Governor and Dhar discussed about the vital importance of providing new avenues to youth in arenas of sports and extracurricular activities for their holistic development.
