Ensure implementation of JJ Act: MD ICPS

Srinagar, Mar 3: Mission Director Integrated Child Protection Services (ICPS), Shabnum Shah Kamili today called on the officials and field functionaries of the department to ensure strict implementation of Juvenile Justice (JJ) Act.

She was speaking at a meeting to review the working of the department.

The meeting was attended by DCPO’s, DSW’s, CWC Chairperson’s, Camp Office in-charge Srinagar, Superintendent Observation Home Harwan and JJB members of the Kashmir Division.

The MD sought report about the facilities being provided at Children Homes and also took a comprehensive review of Child Protection Services and the status of child care Institutions.

She exhorted the concerned officers to put in extra efforts for the effective implementation of welfare programs. She also directed them to complete all necessary formalities regarding ICPS components within the stipulated time.

The MD directed the functionaries to work for the establishment of new homes and assured them of full support in this regard.
