DGP sanctions scholarship, special reward for police personnel wards

SRINAGAR SEPTEMBER 02: Director General of Police, Dilbag Singh, today granted scholarship of Rs.1.25 lakh in favour of school going wards of deceased police personnel for the academic session 2018-19 and 2019-20.

He also sanctioned special reward of Rs 1 lakh in favour of wards of serving police personnel for cracking different competitive exams during the year 2019. 

The scholarship granted out of Central Police Welfare Fund was given  to 25 school going wards of those deceased police personnel who died while in service due to natural/accident deaths.

The special award along with commendation certificate Class-1 was granted in favour of ten police wards for qualifying different competitive examinations.

To boost the morale of aspiring wards of martyrs, serving/retired and deceased police personnel, Police Headquarters under different heads sanctions meritorious scholarship and rewards from time-to-time.
