DGP sanctions retirement gift of Rs 68 lakh in favour of 91 police personnel

Srinagar, Sep 1: Director General of Police, Dilbag Singh, Saturday sanctioned a retirement gift of Rs 68.25 lakh in favour of 91 police personnel of J&K Police, who retired from service this month.

The retirement gift  has been sanctioned out of Contributory Police Welfare Fund on their superannuation or voluntarily retirement.

The retiring police officials include four gazetted officers, fifty non-gazetted officers and thirty seven lower subordinates including six followers.

The personnel belonged to different units and wings of the department.

Police Headquarters has sanctioned over Rs 5.54 crore as retirement gift in favour of 865 personnel during the first eight months of year 2019.

The gift is sanctioned for all police personnel at the time of their retirement as a token of recognition of their service in the Department.
