Congress alleges booth capturing by supporters of PDP’s Haq Khan in Lolab

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has lodged a strong protest against the booth capturing by supporters of PDP leader Abdul Haq Khan in Devar Lolab during polling and urged the Chief Electoral Officer and District Election Officer Kupwara to take stern action against PDP workers and the polling staff

The party in a statement has said that supporters of PDP leader Abdul Haq Khan with the connivance of polling staff deputed on booth No 3,4,5,6 & 7 Government High School Devar in Lolab constituency has taken control of these booths and were not allowing the people and supporters of other parties to cast their vote.

 The party has also written to Chief Electoral Officer J&K and DEO Kupwara lodging a strong protest against the booth capturing by PDP Leader and his supporters. JKPCC has demanded that polling on 3,4,5,6 & 7 must be stopped to ensure free and fair elections.
