Army soldier, porter injured in landmine blast near LoC in Poonch

Poonch, Oct 12: An army soldier and a porter were injured in a land mine blast at Gulpur sector along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday afternoon.
A police officer told GNS that today in the afternoon, the army soldier of 55 Eng Regiment and the porter suffered critical injuries in the mine blast near Gulpur sector.
He identified the injured soldier as Lias Naik Bopinder Singh and the porter as Nazir Ahmad (21), a resident of Nunabandi, Poonch. While Singh was airlifted to army’s command hospital Udhampur, Nazir was shifted to district hospital for treatment. (GNS)
