Srinagar: Agha Shahid Ali Writers forum in association with Care Kashmir International and Private Schools’ Association of Jammu and Kashmir will be organising a function on Sunday to pay tributes to Scholar, Educationist, thinker and great teacher Prof Agha Ashraf Ali who passed away late Friday evening at his Srinagar residence.
The function will be organised at 2 pm in the house of Dr Agha Ashraf Ali at Rajbagh (near Presentation Convent School), a joint statement said.
“Students, Colleagues, teachers and scholars particularly those whose life has been touched by the legendary professor can come and pay their tributes to the illustrious son of soil,” it added.
Prof Ali was buried on Saturday at his family graveyard, Gulistan Baba Mazaar, at Alamgari Bazar area of Old city.
