Srinagar, Mar 4 : A 22-year-old youth found hanging in forest area of Zurhama in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district in Wednesday.
A police officer said that some locals informed the police about the body hanging from a tree at Zurhama area. Immediately a police team reached the spot and recovered the body of the youth.
He identified the deceased as Shahid Ahmad Wani son of Afsar Wani of Check Zurhama.
The body was taken to a nearby hospital for all legal medico formalities, the officer said.
He said that a case has been registered under relevant sections of the law and further investigations taken up to ascertain the cause of incident. (GNS)
