Khadeeja Begum wife of well known physician Late.Dr Habibullah and mother-in-law of senior journalist Zafar Meraj left for her heavenly abode late Thursday evening.
She had been ailing for sometime and suffered a massive heart failure that caused her death.
She was laid to rest at her ancestral graveyard near Karan Nagar chowk.
She leaves behind her son Dr Hijaz Ahmad and three daughters, Khalida Bashir, Naseem Shafaie and Rifat Hijazi.
Mourning period will be for three days and no 4th day ceremony will be held.
