Kulgam, Aug 29:  Army soldiers allegedly shot at a youth outside their camp in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

Sources said that the soldiers from 34 Rashtriya Rifles fired upon a biker when he ‘didn’t stop’ at the Behibagh check point. The youth received a bullet in his shoulder and was shifted to Srinagar hospital.

Sources identified him as Mudasir Ahmed Thokar, a resident of Kadder Kulgam.

Family members claimed that Mudasir was shot at for no fault of his.

When contacted, In-charge Police Post Behibagh confirmed the incident but added that youth was driving at a very high speed and didn’t stop at two check points. He added that the youth is stable.
