Srinagar, Jun 24: A youth injured during Friday’s Nowshahra-Srigufwara gunfight between the government forces and militants succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS in Srinagar on Sunday.
The youth was identified as Shahid Nazir Hajam, 19, a resident of Sirhama village of Anantnag, who was injured during the encounter at Nowshahra-Srigufwara, the village of Bijbehara.
Hajam was admitted in SKIMS ICU and has succumbed to his injuries.
On Friday, four militants, civilian and a policeman were killed during an encounter and several others sustained injuries.
