T4 Education, a UK-based digital media platform, developed the World’s Best School Prizes in collaboration with Accenture, American Express, Yayasan Hasanah, Templeton World Charity Foundation, and the Lemann Foundation.

Community Collaboration, Environmental Action, Innovation, Overcoming Adversity, and Supporting Healthy Lives will each have three finalists announced later this year. The winner in each category will be determined by the Judging Academy, which is comprised of notable leaders from throughout the world, following a public advisory vote.

The winners of the World’s Best School Prizes will be announced in October during World Education Week, with a prize pool of $250,000 split equally among the five winners, each receiving a $50,000 prize. All 50 chosen schools for the five prizes will share their best practices through toolkits that display their unique ideas and step-by-step instructions on how others can imitate their methods to help enhance education everywhere, according to the framework.
