Srinagar-based craftsmen are busy making decorative items for Christmas. They are exported to Europe, the US, and the Middle East.
The products are in high demand. They include moons, stars, balls, bells and Santa.
They also make eggs for Easter. All the goods are exported after craftsmen receive bulk order. There are domestic customers too who place orders with them every year. Javed, 45, has been involved in the business since childhood.
He has seen many ups and downs in the handicraft sector. They have a good income during the festive and wedding seasons.
