WATCH: How cat saves a kid from stray dog attack

A dog may not always be a ‘man’s best friend’.

This has been proved by a video of a stray dog attacking a kid that is going viral on social media. In the video, a cat is seen coming out of nowhere to save the kid.

Netizens are now sharing similar experiences where a cat came to their rescue.

“When I was about 6 years old, I was playing in my front yard (was not fenced at the time) as I was playing with my toys, I heard a really deep growl, and had seen it was a very large Rottweiler, who was very much ready to attack me. As he was about to lunge at me, my cat Jamie jumped right in front of me, and ran straight toward the dog, and pounced on his face, fighting as hard as he could. It gave me enough time to run back inside. Thankfully he was okay, and was able to hop the backyard fence before getting injured. That’s a moment in my life that I will never forget. He was the one, and only cat that I’ve ever had a true relationship with. He saved my life. Absolutely broke my heart when he passed away a few years later. (sic),” said a user while sharing her experience.
