SRINAGAR, JANUARY 03: Amir Hussain Lone, Para Cricketer and Brand Ambassador of Aryans Group of Colleges, visited Manzil Institute and Chaudhary Computers, Rajpura. Rajan Choudhary, Managing Director of both institutes, was present during the visit.
Amir thanked Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman of Aryans Group of Colleges, and, while addressing the faculty and students, said, “Believe in yourself, your abilities, and your dreams. Surround yourself with positive influences and keep moving forward. You’ll overcome any obstacle and achieve greatness.”
Rajan Choudhary expressed his gratitude to Dr. Anshu Kataria for organizing the visit. He remarked, “Amir’s story is a real inspiration not only for the nation but for the entire world. All students must take inspiration from his journey.” Dr. Garima Thakur, Deputy Director of Aryans Group, highlighted that Amir is inspiring millions, not only in India but abroad as well. Despite losing both arms, he has not let go of his passion for cricket. Sachin Tendulkar and the Adani Group have honored him for his remarkable achievements. Recognizing his dedication, the Chairman of Aryans Group announced Amir as the Brand Ambassador of the group.
Born in 1990 in the village of Bijbehara, Jammu & Kashmir, Amir lost both his arms in a horrific accident. Despite this, he developed a unique playing style—bowling using his legs and batting with his shoulder and neck. Sachin Tendulkar invited Amir to play the first ball of the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL). Cricketing icons like Virat Kohli, Harbhajan Singh, Navjot Sidhu, Ashish Chopra, and Ajay Jadeja have also appreciated his passion for the sport.
