SRINAGAR, MAY 12: Kashmir’s prominent hoteliers have called on people across India to visit the Valley and support the revival of peace and tourism in the region. In a joint press conference held in Srinagar, the Jammu & Kashmir Hoteliers Club and the Nigeen Lake Tourist Trade Association assured that all preparations are in place to welcome guests with upgraded facilities and traditional hospitality.
“We invite the entire nation to visit Kashmir and give us the opportunity to serve you again,” said the Chairman of the Hoteliers Club. “The Valley is safe and peaceful. Our hotels, houseboats, and guesthouses are fully equipped and open to all.”
The hoteliers expressed appreciation for the support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, all of whom have shown active interest in reviving the region’s tourism economy, which has been hit hard by recent instability and weather disruptions.
Tourism leaders highlighted that government efforts are helping restore confidence, rebuild infrastructure, and create a sense of safety necessary for the sector’s recovery. “We are witnessing unprecedented encouragement from top leadership, and now it’s time for tourists to return and experience Kashmir’s beauty and warmth,” said the head of the Nigeen Lake Tourist Trade Association.
They emphasized that tourism is more than an economic activity—it’s a cultural connection that unites Kashmir with the rest of the country. “Visitors bring not just business, but also healing, hope, and lasting relationships,” they said.
As tourism remains a major pillar of Jammu & Kashmir’s economy, stakeholders urged travel companies, airlines, and media to promote the region’s renewed vibrancy and safety, assuring prospective tourists of a secure and unforgettable experience in the Valley.
