SRINAGAR, JUNE 28: Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK), G. N. Itoo, stated on Saturday that no private coaching centre will be allowed to operate without proper registration.
He informed that a one-month deadline has been given to all private coaching institutes to complete their registration process. “Any group intending to run a private coaching centre must obtain registration. One of the key benefits of this process is a 10 percent reservation quota for deserving students,” he said while addressing reporters.
Itoo emphasized that under no circumstances will unregistered coaching centres be permitted to function. Although some centres were previously registered, he clarified that all must now renew their registration to continue operating.
He highlighted that the registration process includes important conditions set by the School Education Department, particularly focusing on the safety of students.
Additionally, the directorate has made it clear that no coaching centre is allowed to operate during regular school hours.
