Tulkul Arts and Media Collective Enthrals Audience with “Bacha Nagma”

Pulwama: Tulkul Arts and Media Collective captivated the audience at Government Degree College Pulwama with a vibrant presentation of the traditional “Bacha Nagma” under the Cultural Functions and Production Grant (CFPG) Scheme for the year 2025–26, approved by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.The programme began with a welcome address by Chairman of Tulkul Arts and Media Collective, Ravice Rashid (Rayees Wathori), who expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Culture for its continued support under the CFPG scheme. He said such initiatives play an important role in preserving and promoting Kashmir’s rich cultural heritage while providing a meaningful platform to local artists and traditional art forms.The audience was enthralled by a soulful Sazeena performance by noted artist Manzoor Ul Haq and his troupe, followed by an energetic “Bacha Nagma” performance presented by artists of Tulkul Arts and Media Collective under the leadership of folk artist Bilal Ahmad Bhat.MLA Pulwama, Waheed-Ur-Rehman Para attended the event as the chief guest, while Principal of Government Degree College Pulwama, Prof. (Dr) Bashir Ahmad, and Founder of JKRTI Movement and J&K CAG, Dr Raja Muzaffar Bhat, were present as guests of honour.Speaking on the occasion, Waheed-Ur-Rehman Para said that artists are preserving Kashmir’s identity through their dedication to its rich cultural heritage and traditions. He appreciated the efforts of Tulkul Arts and Media Collective in promoting folk art and keeping Kashmir’s cultural legacy alive.Among other distinguished guests present on the occasion were Chairman of All J&K Artists Association, Gulzar Ahmad Bhat, and Chairman of All Kashmir Folk Artists Association, Shah-I-Jahan Ahmad Bhagat.The programme was effectively anchored by host and speaker Muneer Ahmad Dar.
