Traffic Police Issues Advisory for Shab-E-Meraj Route Plan

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police City issued a special route plan and designated parking areas for the upcoming Shab-e-Meraj celebrations at the Hazratbal shrine in Srinagar.

According to an advisory by SSP Traffic City Srinagar, Muzaffar Ahmad Shah, a significant number of devotees are expected to gather at Asari Sharief Hazratbal for the Mehraj-ul-Aalam (SAW) celebrations on the night of February 7 and 8, 2024. On February 9, 2024 (Friday), a large congregation is also anticipated at the Holy Shrine at Hazratbal.

“To ensure the smooth flow of traffic from different districts of the Valley carrying devotees to the Holy Shrine at Hazratbal, the Traffic Police has implemented comprehensive traffic arrangements. The following routes have been designated for traffic coming from both North and South of Kashmir valley, including Central Districts,” the advisory reads.

For NORTH KASHMIR: Vehicles transporting devotees from North Kashmir are advised to follow the route plan below after reaching Shalteng to reach Hazratbal Shrine:

Shalteng – Parimpora – Qamarwari – Cement Bridge – Noorbagh – Sekidafar – Eidgah – Aali Masjid – Sazgaripora – Hawal – Alamgari Bazar – Mill Stop – Molvi Stop (Lal Bazar) – Botshah Mohallah – Kanitar – University Parking Saderbal Side (Sir Syed Gate).
