Srinagar, Sep 4: At least three Para-military troopers and a civilian were wounded when militants hurled a grenade on a CRPF party in Sangrama area of Apple Town Sopore here in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A police official said the militants emerged in Sangrama area and lobbed a grenade on a CRPF party. The grenade exploded with a bang leaving three troopers and a civilian wounded.
“They were immediately shifted to hospital and all the injured are stable,” he added.
Shortly after the blast, a search operation was launched to nab the militants.
Later, Lashkar-e-Taiba claimed responsibility of the attack.
The spokesperson Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi in an emailed statement said that the cadres attacked CRPF at Sangrama in which five troopers were injured.
