Thermal drones to be used to check movement: IGP Kashmir

Srinagar, Mar 22: Security agencies across Kashmir have adopted aerial drones to map people movement as Inspector General of Police Sunday urged people to stay indoors as part of government’s measures to contain the spread of coronavirus.

“We appeal people not to come out tomorrow in view of the lockdown (announced by the government),” Inspector General of Police, Vijay Kumar told GNS.

He said police will use thermal capability based drones to keep an eye on the movement of people. 

Meanwhile, reports said police at several places was making announcement through public address systems mounted on vehicles to ask people to stay indoors on Monday.
