Steps afoot to further streamline implementation of social welfare schemes: Hashmat Ali

SRINAGAR, JANUARY 11: Director Social Welfare Department Kashmir, Hashmat Ali said that department is further streamlining the implementation of the social welfare schemes for the greater benefit of deserving sections of the society.
The Director was speaking at an orientation cum-awareness-camp organized by the Department here. The camp was attended by different officers of Social Welfare Department, besides people from Srinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal districts.
“The aim of these state and central government sponsored schemes is to provide a helping hand to the needy people and the department will provide every kind of support to ensure that needy and deserving ones get the intending benefits,” he said.
He directed the officers for organizing awareness camps regarding various schemes in different areas and particularly in target area groups.
The Officers of the Department informed the participants  about the various central and state government schemes and encouraged them to pose queries to the officers for a better understanding of the schemes.
On the occasion, pamphlets regarding various schemes were distributed among the participants.
