Srinagar to Host ‘Rise in J&K 2026’ Exhibition from June 17

Srinagar: A three-day national exhibition and public awareness initiative, “Rise in Jammu & Kashmir 2026 – Building the Path Towards Viksit Bharat @ 2047,” will be held at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC), Srinagar, from June 17 to 19.
The event is being organized by Tarmeh Events under the guidance of Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Ghulam Ali Khatana and aims to showcase India’s developmental achievements and Jammu & Kashmir’s growing role in the nation’s journey towards becoming a developed country by 2047.
Addressing a press conference , Khatana said the exhibition has been conceived as a major public outreach initiative to highlight progress across sectors such as infrastructure, science and technology, healthcare, agriculture, education, energy, environment, innovation and public service delivery.
He said the exhibition will connect citizens, particularly youth, students, entrepreneurs, researchers and aspiring professionals, with institutions that are driving India’s development and innovation ecosystem.
According to the organizers, the event will feature thematic pavilions, technology demonstrations, innovation showcases, interactive displays and citizen awareness campaigns, offering visitors an opportunity to engage directly with leading national institutions and public sector enterprises.
Several prominent organizations are expected to participate, including NHPC, BIS, ICMR, ISRO, CSIR, ICAR, APEDA, Northern Railway, IRCTC, CPCB, Survey of India, POWERGRID, HURL, NFL, NBCC, REC, NTPC, TRIFED, National Jute Board, NAFED, the Department of Atomic Energy and other government agencies and research institutions.
Organizers said the exhibition is envisioned as a landmark initiative to promote innovation, foster collaboration, create awareness about flagship national programmes and inspire the youth of Jammu & Kashmir to contribute to the vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047.
The event is expected to attract students, professionals, entrepreneurs, researchers, policymakers and members of the public from across the Union Territory.
