South Kashmir MBBS student dies in Pakistan road accident; JKSA requests MEA to bring body home

SRINAGAR: A MBBS student from Pulwama was killed in a road accident in the Saddar area of Rawalpindi in Pakistan on Friday.

Nasir Khuemani, spokesperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA) said that the deceased was identified as Tawseef Rashid Wani of Batpora Naina area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

“Kashmiri student namely Tawseef Ahmad of Shopian Dist died in Rawalpindi (Pakistan) road accident. He was 4th Year MBBS student in Rawalpindi Medical College (RMC),” he tweeted.

Nasir has requested the Ministry of External Affairs to help in bringing a body from Pakistan for the last rites at his ancestral village. “Requesting @MEAIndia @IndiainPakistan to help bring the body of deceased back to home for last rites. @DrSJaishankar,” he said.
