SMC observes 2-minute silence to honour Pahalgam victims

Commissioner SMC and Senior Officials Observe Two Minute Silence in Solidarity with Pahalgam Incident Victims

SRINAGAR, APRIL 23: Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Dr. Owais Ahmed, along with senior officials of the Central Office, observed a solemn two-minute silence today at the SMC Headquarters, Karan Nagar, to honour the victims of the tragic incident that occurred in Pahalgam yesterday.

This gesture reflects the deep sense of grief shared by the Srinagar Municipal Corporation and reaffirms its solidarity with the affected families during this difficult time. The SMC stands united in mourning and in support of those impacted by the tragedy.

Meanwhile, to express solidarity and respect with the people who lost their lives in a deadly attack in Pahalgam yesterday, a two minute silence was observed in all government offices across district Kupwara today.

The main ceremony was held at D.C Office Kupwara in which Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan, ACR, besides, a large number of officers and employees were present to show solidarity with the departed souls and bereaved families of the Pahalgam terror incident. Similar programmes were held at sub division Handwara, Karnah and Sogam, besides at all tehsil and block level offices in the district.
