New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to move the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill,2025, in the ongoing monsoon session of the Parliament.
Shah has written to the secretary-general of the Lok Sabha, Utpal Kumar Singh, about this issue.
In the letter, Shah wrote that the Lok Sabha Secretariat is requested to include the following item of Government Business in the List of Business of Lok Sabha for Wednesday, the 20th of August, and Thursday, the 21st of August, 2025:-
Introduction of the following Bills:
(i) The Constitution (One Hundred and Thirtieth Amendment) Bill, 2025
(i) The Government of Union Territories (Amendment) Bill, 20257
(ii)The Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill,2025; and (iv)The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025
2. Consideration of Motion for referring
(i) The Constitution (One Hundred and Thirtieth Amendment) Bill, 2025;
(it) The Government of Union Territories (Amendment) Bill, 2025; and
(iii) the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization (Amendment) Bill, 2025, to the Joint Committee of both Houses (after introduction of the Bills).
