Second division I-league: Real Kashmir FC defeats Lone star FC

Srinagar, Apr 26: Keeping its unbeaten streak alive in the first round, Real Kashmir Football Club Thursday defeated Lone Star Football Club by 2:1 in a high voltage match of Second Division I-League.
Real Kashmir FC which so far remained at the second position in the group, played in an attacking mode and scored two goals in the first half of the game, which was played at Synthetic Turf TRC ground here.
The goals were scored by Ritwik Kumar Das and Ifham Tariq Mir, who overpowered Lone Star FC players in the first half.
The second half was equally dominated by Real Kashmir but Lone Star FC’s Javed Ahmad managed to score one goal.
The team struggled to score another goal as Real Kashmir FC players left no opportunity for the opponent team.
By continuing its winning spree, Real Kashmir FC has achieved 16 points, thereby leaving behind Hindustan FC, which, until now, was the leading team in the group.
A huge number of spectators turned up to watch the match and cheered for both the teams.
Real Kashmir FC, so far, has played eight matches in which it won four while four ended in draws. The host team will now face Delhi Dynamos Reserve at New Delhi.
