SANJY 2024: Civil Defence holds wardens meet

JAMMU: A meeting of Civil Defence wardens and volunteers was held today at the Civil Defence Control Room in Jammu. The conference, held in the conference hall, was chaired by Deputy Superintendent of Police Anita Pawar, the Deputy Controller of Civil Defence, Jammu. This gathering brought together key wardens from district Jammu, including Chief Warden Paramjit Kumar, Deputy Chief Warden R. Vijay Magotra, Divisional Wardens Vinod Kumar and Raj Kumar Gupta, Deputy Divisional Warden Swarn Singh Chib, Post Wardens Harcharn Singh, Sat Paul Sharma, and Vimal Pandita, along with Post Warden Gurdeep Kour. In addition to these principal attendees, numerous sector wardens and volunteers also participated in the meeting, underscoring the collaborative spirit of the Civil Defence organization.

The main objective of this assembly was to brief the Civil Defence wardens and volunteers who are deployed for the Shri Amarnathji Yatra Duty 2024. These individuals are assigned to various Yatra points to assist the Civil Administration in ensuring the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage. During the meeting, Deputy Controller Pawar interacted with the wardens, appreciating their selfless service and dedication to the cause of the general public. She emphasized the importance of performing their duties with utmost dedication and maintaining discipline at their respective deployment points.

The Deputy Controller’s address highlighted the crucial role of Civil Defence wardens and volunteers in managing large-scale public events and emergencies. She acknowledged their contributions and urged them to continue their exemplary service, particularly during the high-demand period of the Amarnathji Yatra. The meeting served as a platform for reinforcing the commitment of the Civil Defence personnel to public service and safety.

Concluding the meeting, Chief Warden Paramjit Kumar presented a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all attendees for their participation and ongoing commitment to the objectives of the Civil Defence. This gathering not only served to prepare the wardens and volunteers for their upcoming duties but also reinforced the strong network of support and coordination within the Civil Defence community in Jammu.
