SRINAGAR, JANUARY 24: The Chief Spokesperson of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, MLA Tanvir Sadiq of Zadibal, has urged the administration, Waqf, and shrine managements to collaborate effectively to ensure a smooth and trouble-free observance of the upcoming Meraj-ul-Alam.

In a statement released from the party headquarters, Nawa-e-Subha, Tanvir emphasized the importance of providing proper facilities for the thousands of devotees who visit major shrines, particularly Asar-e-Sharief Dargah Hazratbal, Maqdoom Sahib (RA), and others during the blessed night.

“It is imperative for the government to step in and take action. The concerned authorities must visit the shrines to assess the preparedness to cater to the increased rush of people. Sanitation, power supply, refreshment stalls, adequate security, and ground staff should be top priorities for the administration. Additionally, proper transport services on all routes to the shrines must be maintained,” he said.

“The Fire and Emergency Services Department should deploy men and machinery around the shrines, and market checking teams should be stationed in the vicinity. It is also essential for the administration to facilitate small hawkers,” he added.
