Sacrifices shall not go in vain: PM Modi

New Delhi, Feb 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday has strongly condemned the blast in Lethpora area of Awantipora in which at least 40 Central Reserve Police Force were killed and several others injured, saying “the sacrifices of our brave security personnel shall not go in vain”.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, PM Modi wrote: “Attack on CRPF personnel in Pulwama is despicable. I strongly condemn this dastardly attack. The sacrifices of our brave security personnel shall not go in vain. The entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the families of the brave martyrs. May the injured recover quickly.”

“Spoke to Home Minister Rajnath Singh Ji and other top officials regarding the situation in the wake of the attack in Pulwama,” PM Modi tweeted.

Earlier at least 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were killed and dozens of others injured in a suicide attack carried by militant outfit Jaish on a convoy at Lethpora area of Awantipora in Pulwama.
