SRINAGAR, MARCH 28: A lecture on “Prevention and Control of Tuberculosis (TB) and Kidney Disease” was organized under the aegis of the Regional CRPF Wives’ Association (RCWA), Group Centre (GC), CRPF Srinagar. The session featured distinguished speakers Dr. Shafat Ahmad Keenu, Head of Emergency Medicine, and Dr. Hilal Ahmad Malla, Nephrologist.
At the outset, Rajesh Kumar, DIG, GC, CRPF Srinagar, welcomed both experts with a bouquet presentation. Dr. Hilal Ahmad Malla delivered an insightful lecture on kidney diseases, discussing metabolic illnesses, dietary precautions, and dispelling common myths surrounding dialysis. Dr. Shafat Ahmad Keenu provided a live demonstration on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), explaining simple yet effective techniques for performing CPR.
Around 165 family members and force personnel residing in the campus, along with first-aid trained personnel, attended the session. Some participants were invited on stage to practice CPR on a mannequin.
Sangeeta Kumar, President RCWA, GC Srinagar, presented mementos to Dr. Keenu and Dr. Malla as a token of appreciation. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Annu Arya, Senior Medical Officer, GC CRPF Srinagar, in honor of the guest speakers.
