Rana’s daughter likely to contest from Nagrota

Srinagar, Jan 06: Bharatiya Janta Party has appointed Devyani Rana, daughter of late Devender Singh Rana, as its youth wing vice-president for Jammu and Kashmir unit.

According to a communique, the nomination has been made by BJYM J&K president Arun Prabhat in consultation with the party’s J&K president Sat Sharma and general secretary (Org) Ashok Kaul.

Devyani Rana is the daughter of a former legislator from Nagrota late Devender Rana. Rana, a four-time legislator. Rana passed away on October 31 last year.

Sources said she is likely to be BJP’s candidate for the Nagrota assembly seat which was represented by her father.
