President of India, Droupadi Murmu, conveyed her warm wishes on Monday to mark the celebrations of Lohri, Makar Sankranti, Pongal, and Magh Bihu.
In a message shared on X, President Murmu wrote, “On the auspicious occasion of Lohri, Makar Sankranti, Pongal, and Magh Bihu, I extend my heartfelt greetings to all Indians, both in the country and abroad.”
Highlighting the significance of these festivals, she added, “These celebrations reflect our rich cultural heritage and the spirit of unity in diversity. Rooted in respect for nature, these festivals also honor the hard work of our farmers, who play a vital role in sustaining us all. I hope these auspicious occasions bring happiness and prosperity to everyone’s lives.”
