Srinagar, August 30: Ira Joshi, Principal Director General News Service Division All India Radio and Sh. Mayank Aggarwal, Director General (news) Doordarshan News met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan on Friday.
Joshi and Sh. Aggarwal apprised Governor about their assessment of the dissemination and reach of development and public welfare oriented programmes and news broadcasted from radio and television to the targeted population and steps that will be taken for further strengthening its network in J&K and Ladakh.
Governor stressed the crucial importance of effective and timely propagation of news and views by the Radio and Doordarshan for the overall promotion of public good.
