Srinagar, Dec 5: In a continued crackdown on drug-related crimes, Srinagar Police have seized two vehicles linked to proceeds from the illegal narcotics trade.
A police spokesperson stated that two vehicles—a Toyota Corolla (DL4CNE-6086) and a BMW (JK01AF-0047)—were confiscated under case FIR No. 36/2024 u/s 8/21 NDPS Act at Police Station Chanapora. The vehicles were traced to Mudasir Ahmad Wani, son of Gulam Rasool Wani, a resident of Stadium Colony, Chanapora.
The seizures were conducted under the provisions of Section 68 of the NDPS Act, which targets assets acquired through illegal narcotics trafficking.
The police reaffirmed their commitment to eliminating the drug menace and dismantling networks that facilitate narcotics trafficking.
