Srinagar:The Press Information Bureau (PIB), Srinagar Region, has organised a media tour for journalists from Srinagar as part of its ongoing outreach initiatives. The tour commenced on Saturday and will conclude on February 7, 2026.
A 14-member press delegation, comprising journalists from Srinagar along with PIB officials, is participating in the tour. Prior to departure, Director PIB Srinagar, Qazi Salman, briefed the delegation, outlining the objectives of the visit and urging participants to engage meaningfully during the interactions. The delegation is being led by Majid Pandit, Media and Communication Officer, PIB Srinagar, who is serving as the conducting officer.
The five-day media tour to Kerala, scheduled from February 2 to February 6, 2026, aims to provide regional journalists with firsthand exposure to key Central Government initiatives and programmes. The visit is designed to enhance understanding of national-level policies and their implementation on the ground.
Addressing the journalists, Salman congratulated the participants and expressed confidence that the tour would be professionally enriching. He said the visit would offer valuable insights into the functioning of important government institutions while fostering stronger professional engagement.
During the tour, the delegation will visit several Central Government establishments and projects in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram, where they will interact with senior officials to gain an in-depth understanding of their operations and functioning.
