Only 102 coaching centres adhering to all directions allowed to function: DSEK

Srinagar, May 02: The 90 day ban on coaching centres will continue except 102 coaching centres in Srinagar, Anantnag, Pulwama, Shopian, Baramulla, Budgam and Kupwara, said Director School Education Kashmir Dr. G.N. Itoo after a meeting of all the concerned in Srinagar.
DSEK has issued a formal order in which these 102 coaching centres have been allowed to function under many conditions.
According to the order, these coaching centres have been directed to function one hour after the closure of the schools and to keep 15 minutes for imparting moral education to the students.
The order states that the tuitions upto Class 8th has been banned and parent-tutor meeting has been made mandatory.
Besides this the number of students in a class in all tuition centres should not exceed 75 students and in respect of coaching classes should not exceed 100 students.
It is pertinent to mention here that coaching centres have been asked not to take full fee of the course in one instalment but in two or more instalments depending upon the length of the course and they have been directed to adhere to all the directions from High Court in letter and spirit.
DSEK has directed these coaching centres to notify fee structure, student enrolment and faculty details along with their salary in prominent newspapers of the valley failing which they shall again come under the ban.
