‘O Sanam’: Here are five evergreen numbers of Lucky Ali that will enliven your mood this winter

Srinagar: In the era of fleeting Instagram reels and tik-tok videos, there are still some songs that remain a constant in our playlists as they define our myriad moods and emotions.

Maqsood Mahmood Ali or Lucky Ali is one such singer whose popular singles and albums have left a mark on every 90s kid. Apart from Lucky Ali’s enchanting voice, his songs were always beautifully shot with a heartwarming love story associated with them.

Here are his five songs that keep on playing on our lips from time to time—

O Sanam: Starting with everyone’s favourite, O sanam was released in 1996. The song featured in Ali’s debut album titled ‘Sunoh’. The line “Milke bichadna dastoor hoga” from this song resonated with every lover and created quite a bustle in the heart. For this song, he was also honoured with Screen Awards and the Channel V Viewers Choice Award in 1997.

Aa Bhi Ja, Aa Bhi Ja:  The power-packed violin performance in this song and Lucky’s husky voice even today sounds fresh and hits the right chords of the heart. It is from the iconic musical film ‘Sur-The Melody of Life’ which was released in 2002.

Ek Pal Ka Jeena : OMG! Who can forget this foot tapping number and Hritik Roshan’s flawless dance performance? But the real star behind the song was lucky who created quite a buzz with this track and was amongst the top numbers of the year 2000.

Na Tum Jano Na Hum: The picturesque settings of the song featuring Hritik Roshan hits you differently as it reflects the melodious vocals of Lucky. This song gives you another reason to watch the movie,”Kaho na Pyaar hai.”

Safarnama: His last Bollywood song composed by AR Rahman from the movie Tamsha is an ideal for a long road trip. “O. Safarnama, Sawaalon ka safarnama, Shuru tumse, khatam tumpe safarnama” The song makes you yearn for a carefree vacation and travel with.
