SRINAGAR, JULY 02: A three-day regional training camp focusing on the Domestic Tourism Expenditure Survey (DTES) and National Household Travel Survey (NHTS), under the NSS 80th Round on Socio-Economic Survey, was organized by the National Sample Survey Office (NSO), Field Operations Division (FOD), at the Regional Office in Srinagar.
The event commenced with a welcome address by Masrat Siddiq, Assistant Director, Regional Office Srinagar.
The inaugural session was graced by Arif Iqbal Bhat, Assistant Director, NSO-FOD, Regional Office Srinagar, and Syed Adil Zahoor, Assistant Director, NSO-FOD, Sub-Regional Office Baramulla. Both emphasized the significance of the NSS 80th Round and the critical role of DTES and NHTS in collecting essential socio-economic data.
Training sessions were conducted by Sheikh Taheen Mustafa, Senior Statistical Officer, and Mohd Amin Wani, Assistant Director, who provided in-depth guidance on DTES and NHTS respectively, ensuring participants were well-prepared for the upcoming survey work.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Kavita Singh, Senior Statistical Officer, who acknowledged the contributions of both participants and trainers in making the training a success.
