Non-local killed in army ambush in Kupwara

Srinagar, Sep 27: A person believed to be a non-local was killed in alleged army in Kralpora area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district late last night.
Official sources saidthat the person died on the spot in army’s 3 JAK Li firing incident at Doninar area of Rangwar in Kralpora.
They said the incident occurred when the man was walking alongside the army camp.
They said that the slain is believed to be a non-local labourer of Beacon and was working with in the area for some time.
Sources identified the deceased as Umesh of Tamil Nadu.
A police officer confirmed the incident and said that they are investigating the incident.“The body has been handed over to the concerned police station for identification and other legal necessary formalities,” he said.
The officer said that a case has been registered and investigations into the matter has been initiated.
Army’s Srinagar based defense spokesman Col Rajesh Kalia said that the details with regard to the incident is being ascertained.
